Copyright & Takedown Policy

We respect creators' rights and expect everyone using Zlayo to do the same. Under our Terms, each user is responsible for having the rights to everything they upload, download, generate and publish. If you believe content on Zlayo infringes your copyright, this page explains how to have it removed.

Almost everything made with Zlayo is private: it sits in the account of the person who made it and nobody else can see it. The only content Zlayo shows publicly is what a user shares through a share link.

If the content you're worried about is posted on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or another platform, we can't remove it: only that platform can. Use that platform's own copyright reporting tool. You can still tell us, and we'll act on the account involved if it breaks our rules.

Email support@zlayo.com with the subject “Copyright notice” and include:

1. your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
2. a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
3. where the infringing material is on Zlayo, ideally the share link, and enough detail for us to find it;
4. a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
5. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them;
6. your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).

We may not be able to act on notices that are missing any of these.

When we receive a complete notice, we'll review it and, where it appears valid, remove or disable access to the material promptly. We'll tell the user who posted it, and may pass them a copy of your notice, including your contact details, so they can respond.

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, or that you have the right to use it, email support@zlayo.com with the subject “Counter-notice” and include:

1. your name, address, phone number and email address;
2. what was removed and where it was before;
3. a statement, made in good faith and under penalty of perjury where that applies, that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
4. your consent to the courts with jurisdiction over you, or those of our location, deciding the dispute;
5. your physical or electronic signature.

We may send your counter-notice to the person who made the original complaint. If they don't tell us within a reasonable time that they've started legal action, we may restore the content.

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe other people's copyright, and may close an account after a single serious or clearly deliberate infringement.

If TikTok, YouTube or any other platform flags, mutes, removes, claims revenue from or issues a strike against something you made or downloaded with Zlayo, that's between you and that platform. We don't review what you publish, we can't overturn their decisions, and we're not responsible for them, including when the platform's automated system gets it wrong. Knowingly making a false copyright notice or counter-notice can make you legally liable for the harm it causes. If you're not sure whether something infringes your rights, get legal advice before sending a notice.
