How do I add a heading to a short video?
3 min read · Updated October 30, 2026
A heading is a short line at the top that says what the clip is about before the first caption lands. Keep it to a few words, readable and clear of the app's buttons.

- Three to eight words.
- A question or a claim, not a label.
- Large, heavy and high-contrast.
- On screen for the whole clip.
In Zlayo
Auto-Clip adds a heading to each clip by default, written from what the clip is about, at the top (in the blurred band when the frame has one). You can switch it off, change the look (white card, black, yellow or red) or edit the words on any clip, and in the editor you can add text anywhere.
