How to add gameplay behind a video.

A second moving picture gives people something to look at while they listen. The usual setups are split screen (your clip on top, gameplay below) and a full-frame story video with gameplay behind the narration.

Movement keeps eyes on the screen. A calm talking clip or a text story holds attention better with something moving underneath it, and the gameplay never needs to be the point.
Two common setups
- Split screen: your clip in the top half, gameplay in the bottom half, both cut to the same length.
- Behind the narration: a story video with a post card or captions in front of full-frame gameplay.
Where the footage comes from
Use footage you recorded yourself or have a licence for. Gameplay is often owned by the studio or the player, and rules differ by game and by platform. When you are not sure, record your own or ask for permission.
Zlayo has a library of backgrounds you can choose from, and you can upload your own.
