How to clip videos together

Joining clips into one video — a highlight reel, a compilation, a story told in parts — takes four steps: put them in order, trim them, smooth the cuts and add sound and captions. Here's how to do it online without installing anything.
Open the editor →1. Put the clips in order
Decide what the video is about and order the clips so it builds: strongest moment first for short-form, then the rest. Drop them on a timeline one after another.
2. Trim each clip
Cut the start and end of every clip so it only keeps what matters. Split a clip at the playhead to remove a dead bit in the middle. Tight cuts keep people watching.
3. Smooth the joins
Hard cuts are fine and fast. For a softer feel, add a short transition between clips. Keep the framing the same shape (all 9:16 for Shorts) so it doesn't jump.
4. Add music, captions and export
Lay music underneath and keep it quieter than the voices, add captions written from the speech, then export in the shape you'll post.
